Create a robotic welding system to allow the client to weld various Agri components current and future versions.

Complexities in the project:

It is difficult to call out complexities based around the cell and hardware configuration for the project as the solution really called upon standard off-the-shelf components. The bulk of the work really focused around getting an understanding of the system for the client – as it was their first robotic cell and the learning curve to start out with. This is far from evident now when you see the system and knowledge gained by the client. The journey to get to this level certainly had its complexities which any client should take into account when entering the world of robotics for the first time.

Positioner – Kuka KP3-V2H750 R1000 L3000-2

Control – Beckhoff Interface and Safety structure

Weld Power Source – Fronius TPS 400i

Software – Kuka Native Robot software

Fixturing – Client provision
